Our Mission:

The WLD Johnson Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded in 1991, is based upon the conviction that an education is essential to a healthy thriving community. The Foundation provides access to postsecondary education to members of our community who otherwise would not have the financial means to fulfill their educational goals.

The Foundation sees higher education as a catalyst, an agent of change for individuals, families, communities, and nations. We envision a community that recognizes the importance of educational attainment and assures positive educational outcomes are accessible to all regardless of economic circumstance. In our community, doors will not be closed to those who lack financial resources, and postsecondary education will be available to all with the potential to succeed.

2023 Scholar Spotlight

EtheleaCaldwell.jpg

Ethelea Caldwell is our next scholar spotlight. She let us know that TCU became her dream school the minute she stepped on campus. TCU's commitment to academic excellence is evident through its renowned faculty members, innovative research initiatives, and strong emphasis on experiential learning. The school is well known for their Business and Administration program, which largely motivated her choice to major in Business. After graduating from Texas Christian University, she hopes to attend Law School, and earn her law degree so I can pursue her passions for law through Public Defense.
